four US regional leaders have stayed the same, with
Rich DiDonna NN3W the only new leader in the East
Coast based NA #1 region.

ONE NEW WRTC LEADER IN EUROPE
There were no major shakeups in the European WRTC standings as results were
added in from both ARRL DX Contests in 2008, as only one leadership switch
occurred in EU #4, where UU4JMG is now back at the top of that WRTC region.
In the other four regions, the leaders are still F6IFY (EU #1) OM2VL (EU #2) LY6M (EU #3) and RW1AC (EU #5) -

Results from this year's ARRL DX COntests had little
effect on the leaders in Asia's three WRTC qualifying
regions, as the top spots all remained in the same hands,
with JH4UYB in AS #1, UA9CLB in AS #2 and UN9LW in AS #3.

WRTC 2010 FOCUS SHIFTS TO WAE CW
Qualifying for the 2010 World Radiosport Team
Championships enters a critical phase beginning this
weekend with the Worked All Europe CW Contest. European
competitors have only five events left to earn WRTC
points, while US and Canadian stations have nine, with eight
of them before the end of November.

"DRESS REHEARSAL" FOR WRTC 2010
With rules changes to mimic those that will be used
for the World Radiosport Team Championships in 2010,
twenty-one Russian two-man teams will use a Field Day
style operating event to see what to expect in two years.

Addressing complaints from a variety of operators,
the Russian sponsors of the 2010 World Radiosport Team
Championships have decided to allow more of those
participating in a multi-operator contest effort to
be eligible to use WRTC qualifying points from those
contests.
